Terms, Confidentiality & Complaints

Last updated: March 2026

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the basis on which Jon Billingsley provides private one-to-one work to clients.

The working relationship

Jon Billingsley provides private, one-to-one sessions to individual clients and senior leaders. Work is offered from the Kent practice, the clinic at 10 Harley Street, London, and online.

By booking a session or programme, you agree to these terms. An initial consultation does not constitute a commitment to proceed, and Jon Billingsley reserves the right to decline to work with any individual where the work is not considered an appropriate fit.

Sessions and programmes

Session times are confirmed at the point of booking. Sessions that start late due to your late arrival will still end at the agreed time.

Programmes consist of a fixed number of sessions over a specified period as agreed at the outset. Unused sessions do not carry over beyond the agreed programme period without prior written agreement.

Fees and payment

Fees are as stated at the time of booking. Full payment is required before work commences unless otherwise agreed in writing. Fees are quoted exclusive of VAT. VAT will be added at the prevailing rate where applicable.

Invoices are payable within seven days of issue. Late payment may result in sessions being postponed until the account is settled.

Cancellation and rescheduling

The following notice periods apply:

  • More than 48 hours notice: session rescheduled at no charge
  • 24 to 48 hours notice: 50% of the session fee is retained
  • Less than 24 hours notice: 100% of the session fee is retained
  • Non-attendance without notice: 100% of the session fee is retained

Jon Billingsley reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a session in exceptional circumstances. In this event, the session will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time at no additional charge.

Scope of work

The work provided draws on clinical hypnotherapy, NLP, behavioural analysis and psychology-informed methods. It is not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care or crisis intervention. If you are under the care of a medical professional for a related condition, you are encouraged to inform them that you are undertaking this work.

Results

The outcome of any work depends on a range of individual factors. Whilst Jon Billingsley applies significant professional skill and experience to each client engagement, no specific results can be guaranteed. Testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not a guarantee of the same results for all clients.

Intellectual property

Any materials or content shared with you in the course of working together remain the intellectual property of Jon Billingsley and may not be reproduced or used commercially without prior written consent.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Confidentiality

Everything shared in the course of working together is treated as strictly confidential.

Our commitment

What you share stays private. That is not a policy. It is the foundation of the work.

The nature of this work requires a level of openness that is only possible when you know with certainty that nothing you say will go further.

Limitations of confidentiality

Confidentiality is maintained absolutely except in the following circumstances, governed by professional and legal obligations:

  • Where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or another person
  • Where disclosure is required by law or court order
  • Where you have given explicit written consent for information to be shared

Wherever possible, this would be discussed with you before any disclosure is made.

Professional supervision

In line with professional best practice, Jon Billingsley may discuss aspects of client work with a qualified supervisor. This is done anonymously, with no identifying information shared. Supervision exists to maintain the quality and integrity of the work.

Notes and records

Brief session notes may be kept for professional purposes. These are stored securely, accessible only to Jon Billingsley, and never shared with third parties. You may request to see any notes held about you at any time. All records are handled in accordance with UK GDPR and the Privacy Policy on this website.
